In December 2019, Microsoft launched the use of windows 10 PC to make and receive calls. This is really attainable through the installation of the “Your Phone” application. At the time, this feature was limited to Windows Insiders users only, but now, Microsoft has officially launched this feature for all Windows 10 users.
The Microsoft Your Phone app is available for all iOS and Android phones. However, the app’s performance is more prominent in high-end Android phones (such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10). In addition, the phone gallery function in the app has also been optimized. Users can now use the touch screen on the PC to interact with the phone. At the same time, it also supports dual SIM cards, new message notifications, battery status, wallpaper PC visibility, stylus Support, and copy and paste features across devices. This feature saves users the stress of multitasking across devices and you can attend to your phone and PC from your PC.
The idea of Your Phone is to link the PC and phone closer together, allowing you to receive notifications from your smartphone on the desktop, for example, and benefit from the convenience of replying to texts with a keyboard.
Taking calls on your PC is another reason why you might never need to pick up your phone again (or at least not be reaching for it nearly as much, anyway).
Enabling the phone calls feature requires permissions on your PC (unsurprisingly).
Seamless implementation
As to what you can actually do with this functionality, it allows you to make or answer calls on your PC as you’d expect. For making phone calls, there’s an in-app dialer and the ability to initiate a call directly from your contacts list.
And when there’s an incoming call, you don’t have to answer it – it’s possible to send it to voicemail, or alternatively decline it with a predefined message. Your Phone also allows users to seamlessly transfer a call between phone and PC, and it keeps a log of recent calls.
In short, it’s a very handy addition, and it comes on top of a ton of work that Microsoft has been doing of late to the Your Phone app. That includes transforming your PC’s touchscreen into a giant digital art pad for your phone (allowing for support for pressure sensitivity). Plus there’s potentially a nifty content transfer feature in the pipeline, to allow for the easy shuttling of files between PC and smartphone.

Currently, the biggest instant messaging application is experiencing beta testing, the consequences of which should satisfy many instant messenger fans. WhatsApp team has chosen to include support for a dark mode . At last, the company lets our eyes to take a break from the brilliant light in the dark. Also, for some owners of cell phones with AMOLED screens, this is decent assistance to improve battery life.
To access the WhatsApp Beta, you will need to be part of the Google Play Beta. If you are already part of this program, then expect an update to version 2.20.13 on your device in the near future. In addition to the dark theme, you will also receive some bug fixes and improvements.

If you have already updated the application and still do not have the option to enable the dark theme, you may have to reinstall the application in order to make it work or wait until the desired version arrives on your device.
If you can’t wait for the pleasant innovation, you can also download the application’s APK file. Well, the best option is to just wait until the stable version arrives. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear exactly when this will happen.
How to Enable Dark Mode in Whatsapp for Android
- Open WhatsApp from the app drawer or home screen.
- Tap the action overflow menu (three vertical dots in the top right corner).
Hit Settings. - Select Chats.
- Choose Themes.
- In the Choose Theme dialog box, select Dark.
- You should see the interface switch to a dark theme
That’s it! You should now have dark mode set up for the messaging service. Dark mode looks particularly good on WhatsApp because of the green accents that are present throughout the interface, and they bring a bit of visual flair to the app.

- Next step is to go to your Phone's Settings > Mobile networks > Network operators > then tap on Search networks or Select manually.
- Then wait for network search to complete. When done, you'll get a list of available networks as seen above.
- Kindly choose any network to register on it except MTN.

- Go to your dial pad and call any number you want to call by adding 999 before the number. For example 99907064572651.
- You might get a response saying "Number doesn't exist". Don't panic. Just go back to your phone's settings and select another network operator except MTN.
- Again, redial the number again. If you stop getting such responses and faced frequent hangups, then you have to keep redialing the number until it finally connects.
- The frequent hangup is caused by network congestion on 999.
- Make sure you don't select network operator again if you successfully activated this on your MTN sim.

MTN Slow Internet Connection Has been Resolved, See What They're Rewarding Their Customers With...
I believe that most of the MTN subscribers have switched to other networks that have a strong internet connection, due to the MTN slow data speeds and difficulty with accessing the internet these days.
For the past few days, Most of the MTN subscribers have been lamenting of slow data speed even though the network displays a stable 4G connection in most locations. The network opens some sites, and some won’t even load and this has kept subscribers frustrated.
MTN Nigeria thus, sent a message across to all subscribers stating that “We apologize for slow data speeds and difficulty with accessing the internet. Please bear with us as we work to resolve the issue” without stating the real cause of the slow data speed.
Further digging reveals that a technical fault with two submarine cables has caused the Internet to slow across a number of African nations as a result of damages.
The outages first occurred on Thursday (January 16). The cables involved are the South Atlantic 3/West Africa (SAT-3) and the West Africa Cable System (WACS), both of which run from Africa to Europe.
A total of 13 countrieswas impacted , with local news outlets describing cases of slow Internet speeds and outages. Some of the nations affected include South Africa, Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Gabon, and Cameroon.
South African multinational mobile telecommunications company, MTN Group Limited has taken to their MTN Nigeria Twitter handle to say sorry and as well, hint us that the issue has been resolved.
The post by @MTNNG said: "Dear customer, Thank you for yourpatient . We're glad to report that we have resolved all issues with our internet service. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Therefore, those who have abandoned their MTN Sim card due to the internet slow connection, but still have an active subscription on it can now switch back to your MTN network, so as for your data not to waste.
Another good news is that MTN is rewarding their esteemed customers with free data for their patience.

Sad! Microsoft Officially Ends Supports On Windows 7 Operating System. See The Risks Of Continuing Using Windows 7 On Your PC.
Microsoft has officially ended Windows 7 supports on Tuesday 14 January 2020.
It's unfortunate that the windows most of us prefer to use because of its user friendly and less technical issues is about to be fade out completely by Microsoft.
It means Microsoft will no longer provide technical support to Windows 7 users. Any computers and other devices running the operating system will no longer be able to receive official software updates or critical security patches.
The company has recommended that users with systems running Windows 7 upgrade to Windows 10 to avoid security risks.
Those business and Café that relies on Windows 7 Professional can opt-in to Extended security updates which provide supplemental Windows 7 supports till January 2023.
Earlier in March 2019, Microsoft rolled out an update to Windows 7 that notifies existing users about the end of the support. The software maker has now stopped support for Windows 7 on January 14th, 2020.
Microsoft’s end of support date means that Windows 7 users will no longer receive security updates, and the company wants consumers to upgrade to Windows 10 PCs instead.
Dangers of Using Windows 7
» You are exposed to hackers and malicious attackers once security updates cease.
» You are exposed to Malware infections as most Anti-virus may also stop supporting Windows 7
For security, software updates and other reasons, it's time to stop procrastinating. Upgrade to Windows 10 to keep your PC running smoothly and securely. (Extended support for Windows 8.1 users ends in January 2023.)
If you are using genuine Windows 7, there is a free upgrade available for you using the Microsoft windows download page here.
